Important Domestic Violence Information

 Domestic Violence Is a Reality…

…and it may be your reality

Where do you turn when the person you love turns on you?

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”

Jesus, Matthew 11:28

Nobody knowingly gets involved in a relationship with an abuser.  Nobody wants to be physically, sexually, emotionally or even verbally abused…but it happens.  Nobody deserves to be abused. If you are being abused this does not make you a bad person.  You are a person that some bad things are happening to.

There is Someone who wants to deliver you from your abuse and to help you find healing.  That Someone is God.  The family of believers at this church understand this.  If you will allow us, we will walk alongside you in whatever way God enables us so that you can find healing.  If you want to contact us, do so when it is safe for you.  Our contact information is:

Ministry Staff, Church of Christ, 4010 W. 206th St., Matteson, IL, 708-748-3370

(You can also contact us through this website)

Our first concern is that you and others going through this are safe.  Breaking free from abuse needs to be done with forethought and planning.  If you need help call the National Domestic Violence Hotline to locate shelter near you when it is safe to do so…
